Dr. Nathan A. Lewis, Ph.D.

Nathan Lewis is a postdoctoral research fellow joining the Health and Adult Development Lab in 2023. He completed his undergraduate and master’s studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, and PhD in Psychology with a focus on Lifespan Health and Development at the University of Victoria. His current research examines how sense of purpose in life may support healthy ageing processes through engagement in health promoting behaviours, better physiological regulation, and resilience to cognitive decline. Dr. Lewis is passionate about the use of coordinated data analysis and multivariate longitudinal designs to better capture within-person health dynamics. In his free time, Dr. Lewis enjoys hiking, cycling, and being an over-attentive pet parent to his cat, dog, and many houseplants.
